Saint Leonard’s Church Lighting
|
| ||||
Description
Most of you will probably have noticed that the lights have been illuminating the church since early November, this is a month earlier that has been usual but I think you will agree it is worthwhile. The Church is the centre of the village and when it is floodlit it makes such a difference around the village and also approaching from any direction. Most of you will also know by now that each year I do try to get this "village" venture sponsored by voluntary donations, it is after all for us all throughout the winter months of darkness, it brings a little light to all our lives particularly over the weeks of Christmas and the recent heavy snowfalls. So once again I am asking for donations to support the extra expense the church has to bear for the benefit of the whole village any amount helps so please dig deep and let me, Colin Macdonald or Bob Johnston (church treasurer) have your donations all are very gratefully received. There have been several generous donations that I know of to date, many thanks to Morris, Rob, Beverly and Mark and the Parish Council, we look forward to the future flood of donations. Thanks also to the White Peak Walk for the village Christmas tree and the Bulls Head for erecting it and lighting it. | |||||
