Youlgreave Playschool will stage the event to round off a bumper year of fundraising which has seen almost £1,000 raised for the centre.

The walk is open to children and families in the village whether at the playschool or not and takes place on November 29 leaving the village hall at 11am.

Saffron Baker from the playschool, said: "The walk is pushchair friendly and will take us up Bradford Dale to Middleton where hot drinks and mince pies will be served.

"A prize will be awarded for the most festive pram or pushchair and child, before our return along the dale."

Sponsor forms are available from Youlgreave shops.

Saffron added: "We look forward to seeing lots of people taking part in this fun and healthy way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday morning."
